So you’ve got a bunch of comics and you want to know what they’re worth. Well there’s two different factors to consider, and that’s market value and real-life value.
A comic book price guide will give you market value. There’s plenty of price guides available, some updated monthly in magazine format like “Wizard” magazine, but the one trusted price guide is “Overstreet’s Comic Book Price Guide”. It’s released annually and has the values of just about every mainstream comic book ever released.
The price guide will give you value based on condition, from Poor to Near-Mint to help you determine just how valuable the particular copy you hold may be. The price guide will have a section near the front to help you figure out as closely as possible what the condition of your book is.
So now you know how to get the market value. The thing is, when you sell comics, especially in bulk, you’re rarely going to get the market value. The real-world value can be much less, and it depends on who you’re selling to.
If you’re selling to a comics dealer like a comic shop or professional dealer at a convention, prepare to be in for a big shock. If you’re books are newer than 1972 or they have an original cover price of greater than 12 cents, they are very common and in general dealers don’t always like to have a bunch of back issues lying around. Unless it’s a very important key issue, you’ll likely get offered a nickel a piece for your books.
Selling to other collectors and selling on online auctions can take a lot more work, but if you go this route you can stand to make a lot more money. Again, the real-world factor kicks in. There’s no way you’re going to get the market value on any modern book, but by looking around eBay you can see the prices people are paying. This is likely the best way to determine value, by looking at what people are paying.
How do I know? I had about 5,000 books to sell to make room in my home when I got married. I added them up using a spreadsheet and inputted the market value for the books, which came to about 17,000. This was supposed to be a conservative figure. The BEST offer I got for my comics was $500 and I snapped that deal up quickly because I knew it was the best I could get. Again, selling issues one by one can net you more money, but it can take a lot more time.

Can you report a topic for being in the wrong section?
People keep posting Twilight questions in comics and animation section and i got reported for telling them it was the wrong section T_T. Can I just report the question?
Realistically No You can not report them for being posted there. If so many of those questions are being posted that means Y/A is posting them there as a suggested category. Not the people asking the questions choosing that category. So they are not in violation of anything. You however not answering the questions, only telling them they are posted wrong IS a violation, since it is not an answer to the question. ( I know your intentions were good by telling them, but does not change the fact it is considered violation. ) Many people automatically assume their questions will be posted in the proper category & do not even check to see where Y/A auto suggest is putting it.*
