what am i suppost to do about my autistic cousin?
my cousin is autistic and eats uncontollably like she eats FAST. i live like a 5 min walk from her house and i can here her now yelling and screaming and her parents think that thats just fine and don’t do anything about it and she had my dog barking and i was at there house yesterday and she got of of the school bus and there were some figs on the table she went and got like 4 and went to get more food after she had already ate at school.shes 14 and i’m a little bit younget and i’m like basicly scared of her when she does that and i just want to tell her no and u can’t or she’ll have a melt down please help me shes fat and loud and here parents don’t care at all i want to help her but she doesn’t care or listen at all and she nows 5 things in a.s.l no yes eat chicken and cheesburger and her favorite place is mc donalds
Sounds like you are pretty stressed out. It’s very hard sometimes to be with a “special needs” relative kid, and they can suck up everybody’s energy and interest, and then you are left saying – “Hey, I’m a pretty good kid. How come nobody notices me?” But they are assuming you are OK because you don’t have problems like she does. Don’t be afraid to talk to somebody – your parents or your Uncle or Aunt and let them know you are frustrated. Doesn’t mean you don’t care about her, but you shouldn’t have to have those feelings all bottled up inside. All the best. Have a Cheeseburger at McDonald’s for me!
