Did all famous writers begin as legends?

Were most famous writers amazingly good at crafting their works when they were young. Did they just have some natural talent and worked hard, or did they always exceed others in their craft. Did some of them not even have much natural talent, but worked vigilantly to improve! That is most inspiring of all in my view. Do you have any examples?

Sorry I worded this so weirdly. I just am wondering about the young lives of writers essentially and how they progressed and maybe even regressed at some juncture in their lives!

No, a lot of famous writers were actually unknown and either had their books made fun of or were not read at all. Many of the extremely famous Classics that we read nowadays only became that famous after the writers died. Sometimes, it’s sixty or so years after the death of the author that someone “rediscovers” a novel.

There are no writers that are instantly amazingly good at their craft when they are young. There is talent to writing, but you can’t write on talent alone. If you’ve read enough, you’ll be able to tell which are the talented young writers that think they’re too good for practice. The story will be promising, but you’ll be thoroughly disappointed when you finish it.

Writers tend to get better the older they are, because they have had more time to develop their skills and more life experience to bring to the table. All of them have had to work vigilantly on their writing.
